Black Rock Desert, Nevada, USA
I awoke to stormy conditions the morning of my second day in the Black Rock. Knowing that persitance is often rewarded, I hiked up Morman Dan Peak in foul weather, found a composition and waited for sunrise and better conditions. As luck would have it, the atmospheric conditions resulted in fantastic light and I captured this image of storm & light over the playa and Black Rock Mountains. In a land of little rain and few storms, I was certainly fortunate to be in the right place at the right time. Nikon D800, 24-70mm, F11, ISO 100.
