The view from Auguereberry Point is certainly beautiful but be alert for rattle snakes. I'm comfortable traveling through rattle snake territory, but I had quite a fright heading back to my car after shooting this photo. I came with a single stride of stepping on a snake poised to strike. Interesting how I quickly reacted before realizing it was a snake. My brain's fight or flight reaction saved me to photograph another day! Nikon D800, 24-70mm, F11, 1/60 sec, ISO 100.
